Sasikumar smitten by Kovai

It's almost a month M Sasikumar has been shooting for his upcoming project Brahman in namma Coimbatore and it looks like he is enjoying every bit of the lovely weather and the occasional trickle of rain. "Right from the outset, the experience has been really heartwarming. We canned a few scenes in a house in the RS Puram locality. The house owners apparently don't rent out their house for movie shoots. But when the owners came to know that I was the lead actor in the film, they immediately agreed to be a part of it. Needless to say, I was treated like a family member," starts off the overwhelmed director-actor.
As the conversation veers to his film Brahman, the actor is all bundle of energy. "The film is directed by debutant Socrates and newcomer Lavanya plays the female lead. Malayalam cinematographer Jomon T John is cranking the camera."

This is the first time that the actor is sharing screen space with the ace comedian Santhanam and is quite excited about it. But quiz him why there have been an uncertainty about the comedian being part of the film and he clarifies, "He is acting with me and we have been canning scenes together. Santhanam was always part of the star cast and I really do not understand why people had doubts about it. Santhanam is a livewire on the sets and we share a great camaraderie. The shoot is going slickly in Coimbatore."

When asked how Brahman was going to be different from his earlier projects, the actor says, "Every film of mine is different from the previous one. This film is going to be more city-oriented compared to others."

Though rumours about films with director Bala and Suriya are floating around, Sasikumar maintains that he hasn't begun work on any new project, yet. He maintains that if he were to begin a new movie, he would do it only after he wraps up the work on Brahman. When quizzed if he had bagged any new Malayalam projects in his kitty after his famous debut with Masters in which he was pitched against Prithiviraj, he says," The next time I sign up a Malayalam project, I want to dub for myself. The Malayalam audience has watched my Tamil films and I don't want my voice to stick out like a sore thumb."
