Ingredients for Pollachi Crab Fry Recipe

Crab (Njandu)
Bangalore tomatoes(ripe) - As reqd
Salt - As reqd
Gingelly oil - As reqd
Thick coconut milk - 2 - 3 cups

For grinding:-

Fennel seeds(Perinjeerakam) - As reqd
Cumin seeds(Jeerakam) - As reqd
Poppy seeds(Khashakhasha) - As reqd
Peppercorns - As reqd
Curry leaves - A few
Onion paste - As reqd
Ginger paste - As reqd
Garlic paste - As reqd
Coconut paste - As reqd
Turmeric powder - A pinch
Coriander powder - As reqd
Kashmiri chili powder - As reqd
(Preferably Everest brand)
Preparation Method of Tamil Nadu Pollachi Crab Fry Recipe
1)Grind together all the ingredients(except tomatoes) in a mixer grinder.
2)Heat gingelly oil in a pan or a kadai.
3)Add curry leaves and masala paste.
4)Add tomatoes and fry well along with the masala, till it gets cooked.
5)Add the crab and mix it well with the masala, till it gets set.
6)Add hot water into it.
7)When the whole thing gets fried, add thick coconut milk.
8)Cook again.
9)When it gets dry, the crab is done.
:- Serve with rice and bread.
:- Get a bigger crab for more flesh. It will taste better.
